Mr. Golden is Managing Director of Lancet Capital, an early stage venture capital fund affiliated with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield, University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Lancet Capital has been actively supporting promising adult stem cell research for over ten years, including seeding, founding and providing executive management to Stemnion, Inc. Mr. Golden has more than twenty years experience in the venture capital industry as an investment manager, executive/co-founder of early stage companies and management consultant. He began his career as a management consultant at Arthur D. Little, Inc. where he assisted Fortune 500 companies seeking equity-based collaborations with early stage companies. Mr. Golden has a Masters in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering (nuclear option) from the University of Notre Dame.
George L. Sing ![]()
Mr. Sing has been a venture capital investor for over twenty years, including co-founding seed stage startups in healthcare and high technology. In addition to being a co-founder of Lancet Capital, he was also a co-founding senior partner of two other venture capital firms: Advanced Technology Ventures and Merrill Lynch Venture Capital, where he pioneered initial investments in European and Asian venture funds. Mr. Sing serves as a board director of Regeneron, a company he seeded at Merrill Lynch Venture Capital. Mr. Sing received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
